Jim and Margaret Krum Foundation Scholarship

The Jim and Margaret Krum Foundation has set aside $8.4 million to provide college and graduate school scholarships to local students. Krum scholars receive about $8,500 a year, and students can renew the scholarship as long as they maintain their grades and reapply.

Krum Foundation has been set up under the auspices of the Community Foundation of the Lowcountry and Community Foundation spokesman Carolyn Torgersen said it was the largest legacy gift a fund under their umbrella has received.
